Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Amazon FBA Preparation and Handover - Pre-FBA: Appointment Booking, Packing, Labeling, and Delivery
Booking an Appointment:
Pickup by Amazon or you will prefer to deliver to Amazon warehouse
Preferred date and time of delivery/pickup time.
The number of cartons you are sending.
The dimensions of each carton (length, width, and height in cm).
The weight of each carton in Kg.
Note: Sellers are advised to deliver the FBA package to Amazon's warehouse if the Amazon team fails to arrive to avoid delays in inventory check-in
and ensure timely availability of stock on Amazon.
2. GWA team will confirm the appointment and email you:
Final carton labels to stick on the boxes.
Labels to be affixed on each product's packaging
An FBA delivery appointment PDF with the date and time.
Packaging and Labeling :
Check Your Email for Product Labels
Attach Labels to Your Products
Stick the barcode labels onto each product.
Ensure labels are clearly visible and securely attached.
Ensure labels are not pasted on product barcodes
Prepare Your Cartons
Delivering to the Amazon Warehouse
On the Scheduled Appointment Date
Proof of Delivery
At the warehouse, obtain an acknowledgment (stamp and sign) from the Amazon team on the appointment printout & invoice as proof of delivery.
Categorically ask them to mention number of cartons received.
3. Timeline for stock counting and updating: Stock Counting & Update : When new stock is sent to an Amazon fulfillment center, it typically takes around 7 days for Amazon to count and process the incoming inventory.
